Guests clamored to snap photos on their smartphones of the duchess, who cut a glamorous figure in a dusty pink, embellished Jenny Packham gown. Her evening look was accessorized with matching suede sandals by L.K. Bennett and understated drop earrings.

The benefit for the charity Absolute Return for Kids, also known as Ark, attracted a who's who of Britain's rich and famous.

Elizabeth Hurley, former model Sophie Dahl, and Jemima Khan, a close friend of the late Princess Diana, were among those in attendance. Tickets  reportedly went for 10,000 pounds ($16,400) a head.
