(CBS/AP) Get ready, royalphiles. Prince Harry is coming to the United States and he's going to train with our military.

Prince Harry, who is a British Army captain, will train at two U.S. military bases in California and Arizona as part of an Apache attack helicopter course conducted by his country's Defence Ministry.

Base spokeswoman Michelle Dee said Monday that the prince will arrive in early October at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, California, near the U.S.-Mexico border.

She says the same course will also take him to the Air Force Auxiliary Air Field in Gila Bend, Arizona.

The training in the United States consists of environmental training, live firing and tactical exercises.

The British Defence Ministry says the prince will join an Apache squadron. The Defence Ministry would not comment on his deployment plans, citing its policy.
