President Obama's Schedule Today (9/16/10)
In the morning, President Obama will deliver remarks at the president's Export Council meeting in the East Room. Later, the president and Vice President Biden will receive the Economic Daily Briefing and the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The president will then meet with senior advisers in the Oval Office. Later, Mr. Obama and Biden will have lunch in the Private Dining Room.
In the afternoon, the president will participate in an Ambassador Credentialing Ceremony in the Oval Office. The following Ambassadors will attend:
- Ambassador Peter Taksoe-Jensen, Kingdom of Denmark
- Ambassador Martin Andjaba, Republic of Namibia
- Ambassador Mwanaidi Sinare Maajar, United Republic of Tanzania
- Ambassador Igor Munteanu, Republic of Moldova
- Ambassador Meta Shanon Figueres Boggs, Republic Costa Rica
- Ambassador Pavlos Anastasiades, Republic of Cyprus
- Ambassador Stephen Dick Tennyson Matenje, Republic of Malawi
- Ambassador Louis Harold Joseph, Republic of Haiti
- Ambassador Dino Patti Djalal, Republic of Indonesia
- Ambassador Alia Hatough Bouran, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Later, the President will meet with Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) and Reps. Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.) and Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) in the Oval Office.
Later in the afternoon, the president will make an announcement on the expansion of his "Educate to Innovate" initiative in the South Court Auditorium.
Mr. Obama will then travel to Connecticut to attend events for Connecticut Attorney General Blumenthal and the DNC. He then returns to Washington.
