President Obama's Schedule Today (5/19/10)

In the morning, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will welcome President Felipe Calderón of Mexico and Mrs. Margarita Zavala to the White House. The official arrival ceremony is on the South Lawn.

The president will hold a bilateral meeting with Calderón in the Oval Office, followed by a joint press conference in the Rose Garden.

In the afternoon, the president will meet with Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Lou Susman in the Oval Office. The president and the vice president will later meet with Secretary of State Clinton in the Oval Office.

In the evening, president and the first lady will welcome President Calderón and Mrs. Zavala at the North Portico, to be followed by an official photo on the Grand Staircase. They will all then attend the State Dinner in the East Room. Both presidents will give a toast.

Following the dinner, the president and the first lady will attend the State Dinner Reception with Calderón and Zavala in the tent on the South Lawn.
