President Obama's Schedule Today (10/8/09)

In the morning, President Obama will receive his daily briefings, which will include an update from Vice President Biden on the progress of implementing the stimulus act.

Mr. Obama will have lunch with business leaders in the Private Dining Room. Later, he will meet with senior advisers.

In the afternoon, the president will drop by the White House basketball court, where the National Naval Medical Center Marine Wounded Warrior basketball team will be playing. The president and the vice president will meet separately with Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office.

In the evening, Mr. Obama will play basketball with Cabinet secretaries and members of Congress on the White House basketball court. A list of expected attendees is below.
