President Obama's Schedule Today (1/5/10)

In the morning, President Obama and Vice President Biden will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Roosevelt Room. The president will then meet with senior advisers in the Oval Office.

In the afternoon, the president and the vice president will meet in the Situation Room with relevant agency heads to discuss ongoing reviews of the Christmas Day terror attack attempt. Expected attendees include:

Following the meeting, the president will deliver brief remarks in the Grand Foyer. Later, Mr. Obama and Biden will meet with Secretary of Defense Gates in the Oval Office.

In the evening, the president and the vice president will meet with House and Senate Democratic leadership in the Oval Office. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., will attend the meeting in person and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., will participate via conference call.
