Predators Sign Ronning To Deal
The Nashville Predators have signed leading scorer Cliff Ronning to a two-year contract extension worth about $3.6 million.
Ronning, a 12-year NHL veteran with 38 points this season, came to the Predators in a trade with Phoenix in October. He was to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Predators general manager David Poile said signing Ronning was the team's top priority.
Ronning is glad to be staying with the expansion Predators.
"There are so many positive things," he said. "The fans are incredible, the team is good for a first year and I fit in the style. It's an exciting style ..."
Nashville (18-28-5) is 10th in the Western Conference in points (41), but only three points out of the eighth playoff spot.
