Poll: Myers Surging In Indiana's Seventh

An internal poll conducted for the campaign of Dr. Woody Myers in Indiana's seventh district has Myers surging and a race that is quickly narrowing. Myers faces Andre Carson in the Democratic primary May 6th.

Carson recently won a special election to represent the Indianapolis district following the passing of his mother, Julia Carson. According to the Myers campaign, one month ago, in the wake of Carson's election, Myers trailed 45 to 11. He has picked up 17 points and is now down 34 to 28 in the poll of 402 likely voters, conducted by the Global Strategy Group. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is backing Carson.
