Mark Zuckerberg was listening. Responding to weeks of mounting criticism, Facebook's CEO on Wednesday announced a revamp of the social network's privacy settings.
And not a minute too soon. Complaints about Facebook's privacy policy have been growing ever since last year's uproar of its now-defunct Beacon advertising program, as well as comments by Zuckerberg which seemingly suggested that users disclose more about themselves. The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back: Last week's goof in which Facebook shared certain data with advertisers.
