Cops: Woman found dead amid response to call about suicidal man

HAMPTON, Iowa -- Police have arrested the boyfriend of a woman found dead in an Iowa home Sunday and charged him with first-degree murder, according to CBS affiliate KCCI.

Officers found 51-year-old Michelle Key dead in the home while responding to a dispatch call of a suicidal man, according to the station. She had reportedly died from a gunshot wound.

Police say that Key's boyfriend, 60-year-old Ronald Lee Rand, was arrested and will reportedly be held in the Franklin County Holding Facility, pending his court appearance.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation, according to the KCCI.
