Police: S.C. man charged with killing woman, dumping body
YORK, S.C. -- Authorities say a Fort Mill man accused of killing a woman and then dumping her body in Chester County has been charged.
Media outlets report 22-year-old John Vincent Coddington was arrested Thursday. He is charged with murder in the death of Tiffany Opal Williams.
The York County Sheriff's Office says they believe the killing took place at a home in Fort Mill. Williams' body was later recovered in neighboring Chester County.
Authorities say the victim was kicked and beaten to death, and her body then burned in a barrel, The Rock Hill Herald reported.
Chester County Sheriff Alex Underwood described where the body was found as "gruesome."
The investigation is ongoing.
