Police: Several shot at 3 locations in Georgia
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Police say multiple people have been shot, one fatally, at three locations in DeKalb County, outside Atlanta.
Shiera Campbell, a spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department, tells Crimesider police haven't immediately determined how many people were wounded, but she says one victim died. CBS affiliate WGCL reports that five people were shot. It wasn't immediately clear if the deceased victim was among those.
Campbell says authorities have several suspects in custody and no one else is being sought. Police believe the shootings were related to a drug transaction between two groups.
Officers remain at the scene of a shooting in the 1000 block of Thorn Woode Lane near Stone Mountain. Investigators are also at two other unknown locations in DeKalb County, WGCL reported.
