Police search for Texas woman last seen in parking garage

PLANO, Texas -- Police in Texas are searching for a missing Fort Worth woman who vanished after an evening with friends at a popular Plano shopping and dining development.

Christina Marie Morris, 23, was last seen walking into a parking garage at The Shops at Legacy at about 4 a.m. Saturday morning, reports CBS DFW.

Friends and family reportedly didn't realize she was missing until she didn't show up for work Tuesday morning after the long holiday weekend. Her silver Toyota Celica was found unmoved, still parked in the garage.

Investigators are dedicating more resources to the search because of the amount of time that lapsed between when Morris was last seen and when she was reported missing, Plano Police Department spokesman Officer David Tilley told the station.

"When that kind of time frame lapses, you're always trying to catch up," says Tilley. "So that's why we're putting some extra resources on to get that early jump."

More than 80 volunteers searched the area Thursday and police were set to re-trace her steps Friday morning, reports the station. They were also asking local businesses to review surveillance footage.

Early Saturday, the station reports Morris and a friend walked together to the parking lot. The friend walked towards his car as Morris walked towards hers, reports the station.

Detectives have questioned and released the friend, Tilley told the station.

Morris' cell phone and bank cards haven't shown any recent activity, according to the station.

"Whatever the situation is... it's okay... we just want to come get her," Morris' mother told the station. "We don't care, we don't care, we just want her."

Morris is 5 feet 4 inches, 95 pounds and has brown hair with blonde highlights.
