Her body was found in a marsh off river road on Monday.
Her ex-boyfriend, former Wayland High School football player Nathaniel Fujita, was ordered held without bail Tuesday in a Massachusetts court after pleading not guilty to murdering Lauren, reports CBS station WBZ..
When asked why they had returned to the scene, Wayland Police Chief Robert Irving told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 "It's a routine search to ensure they've found every bit of evidence in the case."
On Monday, District Attorney Gerry Leone called it a case of teen dating violence.
"This case, like so many other paradigms is about control and about power," Leone told CBS station WBZ.
Malcom Astley, Lauren's dad, hopes a memorial service planned for July 16 will continue to help people reflect on ways to be better at preventing tragedies like this, and recognize what is going on.
