Police Raid Rapper's Recording Studio

A member of the rap group Dem Franchize Boyz is among eight people arrested at a raid at an Atlanta recording studio last night.

Maurice "Parlae" Gleaton is charged with trafficking marijuana. Authorities say they seized 11 pounds of marijuana, two handguns and more than $160,000 in cash.

Police say some of the suspects saw police on a video surveillance system at the studio — and were trying to flush the pot down a toilet when authorities arrived. A publicist for the group says Parlae was present at the studio, but committed no crime.

Dem Franchize Boyz are known for the hit "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It," which reached No. 1 on the rap charts.
