Police probing case of missing Del. woman find a body

(CBS) WILMINGTON, Del. - Police are investigating the possible abduction of a Delaware woman, and the discovery of a body near where she was last seen. However, the body has not yet been identified as that of the missing woman. 

CBS Philly reports that witnesses said around 9 a.m. Monday, as 65-year-old Marsha Lee of Wilmington was walking her dog, they heard the sound of screeching tires, followed by a man in his thirties putting something in the driver's side rear door of a red Hummer and driving off.

Lee's husband reported her missing when the dog returned home alone an hour later.

Pieces of Lee's clothing were found at the intersection a block away from her home where witnesses described the incident.

Monday night at around 9 p.m, police said that crews searching the area where Lee was last seen found the body of a female in a lot off I-95. The identity of the body has not been confirmed, nor how the victim. 

Police were able to track down a red Hummer that matched witness descriptions on Monday night. They pulled the vehicle over mere blocks from where Lee was last seen walking her dog.

Forensic officers and detectives were at the scene investigating.
