Police: Naked burglar got into bed with Oregon couple

PORTLAND, Ore. - A burglar armed with a knife broke into a Portland home on Thursday morning and climbed into bed with the sleeping homeowners, reports CBS affiliate KOIN.

Richard Dean Defeudis was arrested and charged with burglary, sex abuse and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police say at around 3 a.m., one of the victims woke up with the naked suspect on top of him holding a knife. Defeudis also allegedly tried to kiss the male homeowner, the station reports.

The homeowner pushed him off and was able to get his nearby handgun, according to the station. Defeudis ran out of the home while the homeowner chased him and reportedly fired off three shots.

The suspect was not hit and ran into a nearby vacant home where police eventually arrested him.
