Police: Man arrested for throwing metal vise through veteran's windshield

(CBS) MINNEAPOLIS - Police arrested a man for allegedly throwing a metal vise through an Iraq War veteran's windshield and breaking his jaw.

According to CBS Minnesota, Deputy Chief Rick Hart says the took broke veteran Jon Stacke's jaw and shattered six of his teeth.

Stacke also suffered cuts on his face and eyes when the shattered windshield flew into his face. 29-year-old Gerret Parks is in custody at the Bloomington Police Department. 

The incident occurred on the evening of Feb. 27, when Stacke and a friend were driving back from Normandale Lake.

Stacke said he thought he heard an explosion when the windshield shattered. He recovered from his injuries at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

The incident is still under investigation, Hart said.
