Police: Ill. man arrested after calling 911 and asking to fight cops
(CBS) Police say an Illinois man called 911 last week asking to see an officer because he was looking for a fight.
John R. Pacella, 38, told a dispatcher around 4:00 a.m. last Thursday he "wanted to see an officer because he wanted to fight with them," the Chicago Tribune reports.
When police arrived at the man's Willowbrook home, southwest of Chicago, a police report claims he began shoving the officers, the Tribune reports. He was promptly arrested.
On Monday, police said Pacella faces charges of aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, and battery with intent to provoke or insult, reports the Tribune.
Pacella, a registered sex offender, is reportedly being held on $100,000 bail.
