(CBS/AP/KLAS) LAS VEGAS, Nev. - A Las Vegas man allegedly stabbed his 3-year-old daughter, shot her mother, and then dove the bodies to a rural road where he shot himself in the head.

In what cops are calling a double murder-suicide, Jesse Saldivar, 48, killed Sabrina Saldivar and her mother, Veronica Erazo-Alderado, 30, in his apartment on Friday.

Autopsy results show that the 3-year-old was stabbed in the chest and that her mother was fatally shot in the chest.

CBS affiliate KLAS reports their bodies were found in a car on Friday night with the body of Jesse Saldivar. Police located the car after Erazo-Alderado was reported missing by her boyfriend last week when she didn't show up at her job at a local hospital. He said she had gone to leave her daughter at her ex-boyfriend (Saldivar's) home before heading to work.

Authorities then went to the Jesse Saldivar's house and saw a massive amount of blood after they looked into a broken window.

Detectives were called to the scene and they broadcasted a description of the ex-boyfriends car to local police units, who then located the vehicle with the bodies inside.

Saldivar had no criminal record in Las Vegas and there were no reported incidents of domestic abuse involving the couple in the past.
