Police discover 3 caiman, exotic birds at Kansas City home
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police were called to a Kansas City home Tuesday night on a report that there were alligators in the backyard and the tipster was almost correct, reports CBS affiliate KCTV.
When police arrive they found three caiman -- carnivorous reptiles related to crocodiles, though smaller in size -- and several exotic birds.
The caiman were each between three and six feet long, Kansas City Police Chief Daryly Forte told KCTV.
Animal control officers were called to handle the situation.
