DWI suspect tried to eat breathalyzer results, police say
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - A Greenwich, Conn. man is accused of trying to eat his breathalyzer results - yes, eat them - after New York State police pulled him over for drunken driving, reports CBS affiliate WFSB.
Troopers said Kenneth Desormes, 40, was pulled over for speeding on I-95 in Port Chester, N.Y. around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, and they determined that Desormes was intoxicated, so he was transported to their barracks for processing.
They said he had a blood-alcohol level of .13.
When the breathalyzer results were being printed, Desormes grabbed the paperwork and attempted to eat it, authorities said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and third-degree criminal tampering.
