Pizzeria Hero Shot In 2nd Robbery Attempt

A month after he fought off a knife-wielding man attempting robbery, a Troy pizza parlor worker has been shot in another apparent robbery attempt at the same restaurant.

Police say 29-year-old Forrest Geraw was shot four times after midnight Saturday while working the late-night shift at a Domino's Pizza. He has been hospitalized and is expected to survive.

Geraw was heralded for bravery for his efforts May 9, when he subdued a man who police say came at him with a knife and ordered him to empty the register.

Police say they don't think there is any connection between the two robbery attempts.

The suspect in the May robbery attempt was arrested and is awaiting trial. The shooter in Saturday's incident was still at large early Saturday night.
