PHILADELPHIA A Philadelphia TV news anchor is being criticized for trying to get her Twitter followers to watch the station's coverage of a deadly shooting by comparing it to "Breaking Bad."

WTXF-TV news anchor Joyce Evans tweeted:

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports viewers immediately criticized Evans, with one person writing it sounded "like it was written by a sociopath."

Evans is a longtime anchor at the Fox affiliate. She later responded that she was trying to compare the "very real life drama" of the shooting to the fictional show about a chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine dealer.

Authorities say one person is dead and another is in critical condition after six total people were shot Sunday evening, CBS Philadelphia reported.

It remains under investigation.
