Phil Spector's Team Wants Jury Instruction
The defense in Phil Spector's murder trial wants the judge to give more new instructions to the jury.
A motion for further instructions was filed as the jury resumed deliberations Monday after taking the weekend off.
The panel got the case Sept. 10 and early last week reported a 7-5 deadlock.
The judge then withdrew one instruction and gave new instructions that widened the possibilities the jury may consider as to how actress Lana Clarkson died of a gunshot wound in Spector's home in 2003.
The defense contends Clarkson died of a self-inflicted wound and wants further instructions concerning that possibility, among other issues.
