Pete Sampras To Get Married

Pete Sampras, long a singles specialist, has become engaged.

His fiancee is actress Bridgette Wilson, 26. No wedding date has been set, the 28-year-old tennis star said Tuesday.

Sampras said he and Wilson became engaged after he was beaten in the first round of the French Open on May 29.

"There wasn't anything positive about losing at the French except getting engaged," Sampras said. "I'm very excited and very happy with what's happened in my personal life."

Wilson was Miss Teen USA in 1990. Her film credits include "Last Action Hero" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Billy Madison with Adam Sandler.

Sampras begins a bid for his seventh Wimbledon title Monday.
