Peek inside Cameron Diaz's NYC apartment
Cameron Diaz has opened the doors to her New York City apartment for the pages of Elle Decor.
The magazine visited the actress' 2,400-square-foot, pre-war West Village abode for its October issue.
Diaz tapped interior designer Kelly Wearstler to help her decorate the space, which she described as "a bit like living in a silk jewelry box."
"I blame my love of sparkly, shiny things on my Cuban roots," the "Bad Teacher" star said. "But I also wanted a place that felt very homey, very tactile."
The NYC pad is decked out with custom wallpaper, vivid paint colors, hammered metal and drawers lined in raw black silk. The guest bathroom boasts a gold sink, while the light-filled living room has neutral tones and yellow accents.
"I'm surrounded by things that mean something to me," Diaz, 40, added. "That's what a home is."
The October issue of Elle Decor hits newsstands Sept. 10. Diaz will be seen next in the Ridley Scott film "The Counselor," arriving in theaters next month. She's also set to play Miss Hannigan in the upcoming remake of "Annie," starring alongside 9-year-old "Beasts of the Southern Wild" Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis.
