North Miami Police spokesman Neal Cuevas said a new witness in the case was able to give police a description of a man seen with Sladewski as she left Club Space in Miami in the early hours of January 3. Her charred body was found in a dumpster in an alley later that night, about 10 miles from the club.

Sladewski was in Miami with her boyfriend, Kevin Klym, but they got separated when he was kicked out of the club for fighting with Sladewski. He says he returned to their hotel after that, leaving her in the club alone.
Sladewski was later spotted on surveillance video from the club, being escorted out by security.
Klym filed a missing persons report for Sladewski after she didn't return to their hotel. Sladewski's body had already been found by that time but it was so badly burnt that it took two days to identify her through dental records.
Crime Stoppers of Miami has joined with Sladewski's family to offer a $15,000 reward for information about her murder.
