Robert McTernan CBS Boston

(CBS) BOSTON - Police in Boston's North End neighborhood arrested a tourist from Ireland who they say robbed a cannoli from a bakery at knifepoint, just hours after he landed for a two-week vacation, CBS Boston reports.

Police said 25-year-old Robert McTernan of Newbridge, Ireland landed in Boston early Thursday, and entered Bova's Bakery around 3:30 a.m. They say he grabbed a kitchen knife and demanded the Italian pastry from an employee.

The worker handed over the cannoli and McTernan left. Police arrested him outside the bakery on an armed robbery charge. They were unable to find the knife.

A judge ordered him held on $2,000 bail. McTernan was also ordered to surrender his passport and stay away from Bova's.

Have a nice vacation.
