(CBS/AP) TOMS RIVER, N.J.- Police are searching for the person who burglarized Cheryl Leitner's home while she was in London competing in the Paralympics, CBS Springfield reports.

The suspect stole cash and jewelry from the Leitner's Toms River home. Also missing were unspecified objects that the three -time track and field competitor earned at the Paralympic games in Beijing and Sydney.

The 29-year-old quadriplegic did not reveal what the objects are because the investigation is ongoing, but told reporters they are things that she could pass on when she has children so they could be proud of her.

Leitner's family left for London on August 27 and her mother returned on Sunday to find the home ransacked.
