Paolini To Pen 'Inheritance' Sequel

Montana author Christopher Paolini's million-selling "Inheritance" fantasy series was originally planned as a trilogy. But today, publisher Alfred A. Knopf announces it's being extended to four books.

The first two books, "Eragon" and "Eldest," have sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. The third book, currently untitled, will come out next fall.

Paolini was home schooled by his parents in Montana's Paradise
Valley.

His writing career began after he graduated from high school at age 15. He wrote the book at his kitchen table, and initially self-published it with the help of his mom and dad. But it didn't take long before "Eragon" was picked up by Knopf, and became a New York Times best-seller.
