(CBS/AP) MIAMI - OutKast rapper Big Boi was arrested in Miami on Sunday for illegal possession of drugs which included ecstasy and Viagra pills.

The Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Antwan Patton, was charged Sunday with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections website, the 36-year-old Patton was also carrying MDMA, which is the main ingredient in Ecstasy.

The rapper was booked on $16,000 bond.

Patton's lawyer, in a written statement to CNN through his publicist, said Patton was re-entering the United States when the contraband was found.

"While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage," attorney Daniel Kane said. "I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated."

Big Boi is best known as half of the groundbreaking rap duo OutKast, which includes Andre 3000. The Atlanta-based group won six Grammys and churned out six platinum-plus albums, including their "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," which sold over 10 million copies.
