Organizing Your Home Office
The home office often times becomes the family's dumping ground for bills, papers, and files. So in part two of The Early Show's "Get Organized" series, Peter Walsh, author of "How To Organize Just About Everything" gets the papers in order.
In the introduction of his book, Walsh writes, "Being organized is the key to a simpler life, in which the things we own reflect who we are and everything has its place."
Walsh says you need to keep the space functional, but also approachable. In his book, he tackles several topics regarding the home office such as: how to unclutter your desk; how to tackle papers; how to file; how to store; how to use home office space; and how to deal with flood of mail.
He says even the smallest home office provides an opportunity to establish a space custom-tailored to your personal tastes and work habits.
Tune in Tuesday morning for his suggestions.
The mail center featured on The Early Show is available at The Container Store. It has dates of the month already labeled on the sorter so you can pre-organize your bills. As you write them, place them in the appropriate date you want to mail the bill out.
