(CBS) - Oregon teen Joseph "Joey" Anthony Marsala, 17, left a cryptic message on his Facebook page Sunday that read: "O god please forgive me, for I have sined. I guess I must forgive my self first before you can. I hope my friends, family, loved one's can forgive me. All of you will understand soon enough. Please an come see me when I'm out of sight. :((("

"Your weird?" one friend replied.

"You'll understand later..." said Marsala.

"Can you tell me now?" the friend asked.

"I'm sorry I wish I could," said Marsala.

Marsala is suspected of murdering Darrin Dow, 49, of Tigard, Ore., about ten miles southwest of Portland. Police estimate that Dow was killed some time between June 24 and June 26. The cause of death is under investigation.

Police believe that after the murder Marsala fled Lincoln County in Dow's Cadillac Escalade, which was found Sunday night in Northeast Portland.

The Oregonian reports that Marsala lives in Oak Grove with Todd and Gina Stief and their daughter. The family became a surrogate family to Marsala, whose mother is ill and lives in California.

Marsala is scheduled for arraignment midday Wednesday, according to Oregon's Judicial Center.
