(CBS/AP) What's on your "favorite things" list for 2011?

For many, it's OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.

Oprah Winfrey's new TV network launched at 12 noon EST on Saturday, Jan. 1, and by primetime, it was a hit.

During the three-hour programming block beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 1, the network averaged 1 million viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen Co. figures released Monday by OWN.

For Saturday's 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET hours, during which OWN aired "Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes," the network was ranked third among all ad-supported cable networks in the 25-to-54-year-old audience demographic, OWN reported.

If you love the big O but haven't checked out her network yet, viewers say it's worth a look-see.

Comments on the network's website cheered on shows like "Ask Oprah's All Stars," with Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and Suze Orman. One viewer called it "one of the best shows to hit the airways."

Another wrote "Amazing shows, have watched every day since day one. This is life changing for us!"

The positive feedback is no surprise, considering the wild success of "The Oprah Show" and O magazine, which helped create and solidify a massive and loyal fan base.

Other shows on OWN include "Big Bowl of Love," a cooking show; and "In The Bedroom," which helps couples solve their intimacy issues.
