Ole Miss football star falls from fourth-floor hotel window

ATLANTA -- Mississippi defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche fell from a fourth-floor window at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead, Georgia, late Saturday night, CBS affiliate WGCL reports.

WGCL reports that the Mississippi defensive tackle fell from a fourth-floor window at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Department spokeswoman Kim Jones says it appears that 21-year-old Nkemdiche broke a hotel room window, walked about 15, climbed over a wall and fell roughly 15 feet late Saturday night.

Jones says Nkemdiche was alert and conscious when emergency responders arrived and he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Jones says authorities found what appeared to be a small amount of marijuana in Nkemdiche's room and he was hospitalized in stable condition.

Nkemdiche, a junior at Ole Miss from Loganville, Georgia, is majoring in general studies.

CBSSports.com reports Nkemdiche is a top prospect for the 2015 draft, and is number four overall in the rankings of prospects.
