Cops: Ohio man admits killing 16-year-old met on Craigslist

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio --Police say an Ohio man has confessed to killing a West Virginia 16-year-old girl whose body was found on August 30, reports CBS affiliate WOWK.

Ernest Roach, 36, met Ericka Brown through a Craigslist posting, according to a release from police.

WOWK reports that phone records revealed that Roach may have met with Brown the night before she disappeared. The records showed that Brown's phone traveled from Cross Lanes, West Virginia to Portland, OH.

Roach agreed to meet with police to conduct a polygraph test but instead fled.

He was later captured in Ohio.

WOWK reports that Brown had posted ads on the classifieds website Craigslist, offering sex in exchange for money.

Police say Roach, of Racine, Ohio, also admitted to meeting Brown twice, and paying her for sex on both occasions.
