Ochocinco seeks roommate, must have Xbox

Chad Ochocinco is tired and disoriented.

As the NFL lockout wore on, he traveled the country trying it all: ballroom dancing (Los Angeles), bull riding (Duluth), NASCAR (Atlanta) and pro soccer (Kansas City).

Now, after signing with the New England Patriots, it appears he wants to settle down - with a fan.

The adventurous and unpredictable wide receiver, who had spent his entire career in Cincinnati, has yet to find a home in the Boston area, so he's come up with a quintessential Ochocinco-esque idea.

"I'm going to do something different, I'm actually going to stay with a fan for the first two, three weeks of the season," he said. "That should be fun, until I get myself acclimated and learn my way around."

What kind of roommate is he looking for exactly?

"I'm not sure how it's going to work, but they have to have Internet and have to have Xbox," he said. "That's about it."

The player formerly known as Chad Johnson could be joking but he's probably not given his love for publicity stunts.

For a man who has more than 2 million followers on Twitter, this may just be the next step for connecting (and sharing a sofa) with fans.

It will be interesting to see where Ochocinco ends up. He'll make $6 million this year but something tells us the 33-year-old free spirit will spurn a mansion in Back Bay and be content in a 2-bedroom apartment in South Boston - as long as there's an Xbox.
