At the traditional luncheon inside Statuary Hall at the U.S. Capitol after the presidential inauguration, The Obamas and Bidens join senators, House members, cabinet secretaries, former presidents, the Supreme Court justices and their spouses for lunch.
The menu is a tribute to American cuisine:

- Sweet potato hay
- Butternut squash purée

Third Course: Hudson Valley Apple Pie with Sour Cream Ice Cream, Aged Cheese and Honey

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., the head of the inauguration planning committee, said the meal was chosen by the spouses of a bipartisan group of House and Senate leaders.
"The effort was truly bipartisan," he said, jokingly saying that no one party can be blamed if they don't like the meal.
