"Obama's Election is an Admission of Defeat," Says Iraqi Insurgent Group

The Iraqi insurgent group The Army of Saad released an internet statement addressed to U.S. President-elect Barak Obama entitled "A Message to the New Governor of the Black House." The group said it did not have high hopes about Obama bringing any positive change to Iraq as many people predicted.

"O' tyrant .. you ought to know that we do not hold any optimism as a result of your election, for we know that the deep rooted enmity of Islam and Muslims, and the blind support of Israel , are a moral and national pledge that any U.S. President must honor," said the statement.

The group also stated that they regarded Obama's election as an admission of defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan and urged him to take his soldiers "back to where they came from."
