Obamas Add "Glee" To Easter Egg Roll
The cast of the popular Fox TV show "Glee" has been invited to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt, Entertainment Weekly is reporting.
E! Online has published tweets by cast members Kevin McHale, Naya Rivera and Amber Riley all saying that first lady Michelle Obama had invited them to the April 5 holiday event in Washington, D.C.
The first family, particularly daughters Malia and Sasha, are reportedly big fans of the show about a high school glee club. Now on a four-month break, the show, which received four Golden Globe awards last month, is expected to return to TV in April.
Mrs. Obama has been busy exposing young people to music at the White House. Just this month, school children were invited there for two musical events - a program of music that inspired the civil rights movement and a preview of the performance that Harry Connick Jr. and other musicians gave Sunday night at the Governors' Ball. Last year, a variety of country music stars performed at the White House for classes for school children.
