Obama to Fundraise with Gloria and Emilio Estefan

AP

President Obama will attend two Democratic National Committee fundraisers in Miami this evening, including one at the home of Latin pop stars Gloria and Emilio Estefan (the home is shown at left).

Earlier in the day, the president will speak at a Kennedy Space Center conference, which amortizes the cost of flying the president in for political fundraising.

The event at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is open to press coverage. The higher-priced reception at the Estefan household is closed to the press.

A democratic source says tickets range between $250 and $30,400 per couple for the event at the Estefan home.

Mr. Obama is expected to raise $2.5 million for the night, according to a source.

Jazz Bassist Esperanza Spalding will be playing the art museum event.
