Obama Meets With His Veep Vetters
From CBS News' Allison O'Keefe:
(WASHINGTON) - For the second day in a row, Barack Obama met with his vice presidential vetting team of Eric Holder and Caroline Kennedy.
Given the nature of his campaign schedule and his recent trip oversees, Obama rarely gets a chance to visit Washington, D.C., so he has packed as much in as possible during these two days, most notably two extended meetings with his vice presidential search team and top staff.
Yesterday, Obama met with the search team for almost three hours. And today he arrived at the office at 2:40pm ET and has yet to leave. This is likely going to be Obama's last visit to Washington, D.C. before the formal announcement of his vice presidential pick.
Late this afternoon, Obama will speak to the House Democratic Caucus on Capitol Hill before flying to Missouri for a full day of campaigning there tomorrow.
