Michael Sullo, 43, of Syosset, plays the same numbers every day, and that day, his numbers had won, Suffolk County police said. But the clerk had mistakenly entered the wrong number in the computer when he was purchasing his ticket, police said. When Sullo realized it, he went back to confront the clerk and demand his winnings.

The clerk reportedly offered to pay him a portion of the winnings, but that wasn't enough for Sullo, reports the station.

When the clerk left the store and drove out of the parking lot, Sullo followed him in his own car, according to CBS New York.

The clerk was eventually prompted to pull over and Sullo pulled out a box cutter and robbed the clerk, demanding the full lottery payment, police say.

The clerk complied, and sent Sullo back to the store to get his money. He collected the $250, and drove away, police said.

About 25 minutes later, police caught up to Sullo and arrested him, police said.

He was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
