(CBS) CAMDEN N.J. - A nurse taking a break outside a Camden, N.J. hospital was attacked by a woman who was ranting about the medical profession, police said, according to CBS Philly.

Camden County police say 26-year-old Monique Moore was walking by Cooper University Hospital Monday afternoon when she allegedly began yelling at a nurse and then charged the woman, authorities said.

Police said Moore grabbed the nurse and began punching her in the head and face while allegedly yelling angrily about the medical profession and then allegedly smashed the victim's face into a brick wall, CBS Philly reported.

Police say a passerby saw what was happening and pulled Moore off the nurse.

A Cooper University Health Care spokesperson says the employee was taken into the emergency department and treated for her injuries.

Authorities say the assailant had two minor children with her at the time of her arrest. They have been released to the custody of the Division of Youth and Family Services, said police.

CBS Philly reports Moore is charged with third degree aggravated assault, and was being held on $20,000 cash or bond bail.
