NRCC Responds With Ad In Ohio Special Election
The National Republican Congressional Committee has responded to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s attack ad against GOP nominee, state Rep. Bob Latta in next week’s Ohio special election.
The NRCC reported today that they have spent $246,904 for television ads and an additional $32,874 on direct mail attacking the Democratic nominee, Robin Weirauch.
It's a significant investment for a committee that reported only $2.55 million cash-on-hand at the end of October (with a reported debt of $3.6 million). But it also reflects the reality that Republicans aren't taking anything for granted -- even in a solidly-conservative Ohio House seat.
