N.C. men charged with kidnapping, attempting to kill roommate
MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Police say that two men were arrested for kidnapping and attempting to kill their roommate, according to CBS affiliate WBTV.
On Sunday, a man reportedly told police that he had escaped from his roommates, Gameliel Aguliar Gonzalez and Fermin Romero Tinajero. Police then determined that the man had been assaulted and kidnapped from his Mooreville home, according to the station.
Investigators also determined the kidnapping ended when he escaped from his alleged captors in Meckenburg County.
Gonzalez, 25, and Tinajero, 32, were arrested and taken to the Iredell County Jail, according to WBTV. Tinajero was given a $100,000 secured bond, while Gonzalez was given a $180,000 secured bond.
Both are facing are facing kidnapping, felony assault, and conspiracy to commit homicide charges.
Gonzalez was also served a failure to appear warrant for unrelated charges in Scotland County, according to the station.
Police have not released a possible motive in the incident.
