"NO THANKS"? REALLY?...In addition to what Steve and Bradhave already said re: the Bridge to Nowhere line in Palin's speech, it's worth noting that while she said "no thanks" to the bridge, she didn't have a problem keeping the money:
Under mounting political pressure over pork projects, Congress stripped the earmark -- or stipulation -- that the money be used for the airport, but still sent the money to the state for any use it deemed appropriate.I think AP meant "bridge," not "airport," but point taken.
