Nicki Minaj recruits Nas as romantic interest in "Right By My Side"

(CBS News) A romance plays out between Nicki Minaj and rapper Nas in the new video for Minaj's latest single, "Right By My Side."

Although Chris Brown sings on the song, Minaj tapped Nas to portray her leading man. The clip finds the on-screen couple having lunch, going shopping, hugging and even sharing a passionate kiss.

When a Twitter user asked, "Ya'll must've practiced that kiss more than once [because] that was perfection," Minaj replied, "Ummm. Yes. Yes we did."

Brown appears for his guest verse in the video, but he's placed outside the storyline.

"Right by My Side" appears on Minaj's new album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded."
