Newt Can Be Yours For 50 Grand
Outgoing House Speaker Newt Gingrich is charging $50,000 for a speech and an hour of his time, The Washington Post reported Friday.
The newspaper said a memo to corporations and trade associations from the Washington Speakers Bureau offered Gingrich's services as a speaker and said the Georgia Republican "is willing to meet for one hour -- either in Atlanta or once on site -- to exchange views with your CEO, organization president or board of directors."

The Post said the memo did not give a price tag, but quoted an executive from a trade association as saying the cost was $50,000 plus three first-class plane tickets.
By the way, if Gingrich's fee is too steep, you can hire former White House press secretary Mike McCurry for a mere $10,000, though McCurry's fee doubles to $20,000 for a talk outside Washington D.C.
